1/2” Gold Bond® Fire-Shield C™ Gypsum Board consists of a fire-resistant gypsum core encased in heavy, natural-finish, 100% recycled paper on the face and back sides. The face paper is folded around the long edges to reinforce and protect the core, the short ends are square-cut and finished smooth, while the long sides are tapered for tape and finishing.

Fire-Shield C Gypsum Board features a Type C core to provide additional fire-resistance ratings when used in laboratory tested systems.

GridMarX are printed on the paper surface to help installers instantly identify stud locations and make accurate cuts without having to pencil in or snap chalk lines.

For traditional 5/8” Type X board used in fire rated assemblies try Gold Bond® Fire-Shield® Gypsum Board or for a 5/8“ product with a Type C core try 5/8” Gold Bond® Fire-Shield C™ Gypsum Board.

• Use on walls and ceilings in fire-rated construction where the framing members are spaced up to 24” o.c.
